Refund policy

Hobby Hijinks wants you to love your gear. This policy explains your options for returns, refunds and exchanges. It sits alongside — and does not limit — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major problem (for example, it's faulty, significantly different from its description, or doesn't do what we said it would), you are entitled to choose a refund, replacement or repair. For a minor problem, we may choose to repair, replace or refund. Nothing in this policy takes away these rights.

Change-of-mind returns
We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of you receiving your order, provided the item is:

- unused and in its original, resalable condition; and
- returned with all original packaging, tags and inserts.

Return postage: On a customer's first order, we'll cover the cost of return postage for change-of-mind returns. For subsequent orders, return postage for change-of-mind returns is the customer's responsibility (we'll provide the return address and instructions).

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll issue a full refund of the product price to your original payment method.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or we sent the wrong product, please contact us within a reasonable time. We'll cover return postage and arrange a replacement or full refund (including original shipping where applicable). Photos of the issue help us sort it out fast.

Custom & personalised items (Card Squad Customs)
Because custom and personalised products (such as Card Squad Customs cards) are made to order specifically for you, they are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or refunds. However, we will always try to ensure the custom product is what you want prior to it being shipped to you. This does not affect your rights if a custom item is faulty or not as agreed — those are always covered under the Australian Consumer Law.


How to start a return
Email support@hobbyhijinks.com.au with your order number and the reason for your return. We'll reply with the return sequence and next steps. Please don't send items back before contacting us.

Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within [5–10] business days of us receiving the return. Your bank or payment provider (including Afterpay or Shop Pay) may take additional time to show the funds.
